So ask
yourself, how... |
 |
Q |
Do
we know if our working environment is really clean
as it could be? |
|
Q |
Do
we know if our Cleaning Services Contractors are
really as effective as they can
be? |
|
Q |
Can we measure, improve upon and then maintain
higher hygiene standards? |
Here's
how ... Follow the TTIM Principle...
|
TEST |
|
|
|
|
1.
Fully Audit all your cleaning services to
measure their overall effectiveness. |
| |
TRAIN |
|
|
|
2.
Re-train your cleaners so they understand the
need for hygiene diligence. |
| |
IMPROVE |
|
|
3.
Better training and Improved cleaning methods,
will raise hygiene standards. |
| |
MAINTAIN |
|
4.
Random spot-checks and audits will ensure higher
standards are maintained. |
|
The WASH & GLOW Hygiene Audit Tools will
help you to achieve this goal in a simple,
low-cost way. |
As we cannot generally see if a cleaner
has actually cleaned as thoroughly as we expect, we need to have
some other fool-proof way of checking / auditing the cleaner's effectiveness on a
regular basis.
Contained
within our New Hygiene Audits Kit you will
find all you'll need to create discreet invisible test areas,
that will reveal beyond any doubt, whether your cleaning services are
effective or not.
|
"Regular Inspections of Cleaning Services, especially on Frequently Touched Areas, will help
maintain higher hygiene standards and foster
a Culture of Cleanliness". |

With a Wash & Glow Hygiene
AUDIT Kit you can take away the uncertainty
of knowing if your cleaners are actually cleaning as effectively as you
would expect.
The kits come complete with an invisible non-toxic UV powder and grease that may be use
to invisibly 'mark' key areas in your kitchen,
toilets, surgeries
or wards. The cleaners will not be able to see this, so should they fail to
clean properly, this irrefutable test will reveal the extent of this
failure!
|
Time for
Re-training? |
 |
|
An Audit
failure can be seen as a positive thing, as it will enable
you to re-train your cleaners for best practice and help them achieve a higher
standard of care in their work, and with ongoing 'random'
testing, you'll be able to determine if its being
maintained. |

AUDIT
MARKERS
A totally
new range of Hygiene Compliance Auditing Tools
 |
Introducing a totally new Cleaning Audit / Cleaning Inspection
tool. The Wash & Glow UV Marker will create an temporary
'invisible' mark on most surfaces. Being being alcohol based, it
is hygienic to use and will not
cross-contaminate...

...
When illuminated by Long wave UV light,
the invisible mark will glow bright white!
Simply create a series of marks on and
around the area to be audited, after cleaning, use the UV lamp
to see if any marks remain. If marks are revealed, then cleaning
has not been performed effectively. |
 |
| |
|
|
 |
To complement our new UV Marker tool, we
have produced an invisible UV revealing
spray, which also glows white under UV
light!
Being alcohol based, it ensures a
simple and hygienic test with no contamination.
Use for testing larger areas such as floors,
under beds etc and for total area coverage,
where a cleaning method evaluation is
required. |

|
The latest innovation hot from the Glowtec
Labs is the new UV Germ Powder Marker.
This chunky but tidy Marker, comes with a
choice of 3 UV colours (for different tests
or zones) Once marked, the Alcohol carrier
quickly evaporates to leave behind a
discreet layer of invisible UV Germ
particles. |

These exciting new products
now make it possible for
Infection Control
Professionals, to measure,
monitor and maintain higher
hygiene standards, in line
with NHS Cleaning directives. |

WASH & GLOW
UV AUDITING
- How it works
Through a unique
combination of Wash & Glow UV products, a series of
invisible 'test' marks ,
are discreetly placed in areas to be cleaned where hygiene is critical i.e.
frequently touched areas, food preparation
areas, toilets, examination rooms, operating theatres etc.
These discreet UV marks,
when used in conjunction with a Cleaning Audit, will
enable the cleaning effectiveness testing of Cleaning
Services.
Besides the obvious high risk areas,
these discreet checks can establish if floors are being properly cleaned i.e.
right up to the skirting boards and into those hard-to-reach corners.
Underneath patient beds and around waste bins etc. These are excellent test locations,
as are toilet seats and door handles, lift / elevator call buttons, communal
door handles / knobs and hand rails, even clipboards and patient
records.
| |
|
|
| |
 |
So when we say its Invisible...
We mean Invisible.

|
|
Depending on the particular nature and
scope of the audit, apply the UV Audit Marks and note their exact
location on your audit sheet (It is import for reasons of accuracy, that cleaners
should not be aware of the testing). A follow-up Audit Inspection using a Forensic UV lamp,
will determine which marks have been removed by effective cleaning and
which were not! The results of the Audit will establish if there is a need for
any follow-up corrective action such, as re-training for cleaning staff
etc.
Random 'recorded' auditing &
testing thereafter, will help ensure new practices and higher standards
and maintained.
As you see, the
principle is simplicity itself and should provide an invaluable
contribution to the war on poor hygiene.
|
Take for example the typical WC... |

|
Here is your WC ready for cleaning.
Now move your mouse over this image. Now you
will see the invisible UV Audit Marks that
should be removed by effective cleaning.
The number and size of marks is down to the
preferences of the auditor, however the
principle is clear to see. |

Again, in this example the inner rim and top
of the bowl is marked ready for cleaning.
(Wipe surfaces with an alcohol wipe prior to
UV marking)
A follow up Audit Inspection using a UV
Blacklight, will reveal the effectiveness of
the cleaners methods. |

Even Stainless Steel, Glass and Mirrors can
be safely marked in readiness for cleaning. |

Imagine using these New UV Tools to check
all high-risk surfaces throughout the building?
Now for the first time, it will be possible
to
know for certain,
if those surfaces have been properly cleaned! |
